Oh Wow.

I'd forgotten how good they look *Pats self on back*

I especially like how the lights on the Ghavial turned out, went far better than expected.

also, no pic of the Bushmaster?

I've updated this OXP. I found that my versions where overpriced a lot. Now the ships are more interesting to buy.

I've edited already some new background stories on the WIKI

Example
http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Iguana_%28Oolite%29

.However I cannot edit the tables on the right side. Can somebody update the new prices in the ship tables and in the ship comparison tables?

I finished the background stories on some of the ships.

I re-ask the following question:
However I cannot edit the tables on the right side. Can somebody update the new prices in the ship tables and in the ship comparison tables?
Can somebody put the new prices in the table????
Please?

I just updated the ship tables based on the info in your updated first post in this thread. Can you please double-check that they are correct before I edit the comparison table? I did not find new prices for the PAGroove versions of ships (where they exist) so just divided by 10. In one case this results in the same price as for the standard version. All prices seem extremely low now but if this is what you want...

Re: Old Ships and Old Ships2010 and pricing

Post by SandJ »

The Wiki says Old Ships and Old Ships 2010 are compatible.

However, with both installed, it is possible to have two identical spec and name ships at different prices. For example, I have just seen in the shipyard a "Standard customer model Ghavial" for ₢220,000 and another "Standard customer model Ghavial" for ₢400,000.

Should:
- the Wiki say they are not compatible (which is not fair; they do work together)?
- I just tweak the prices in my copy of one shipyard.plist to match the other?
- change the name of set of ships to "PAG Ghavial" etc.?
- remove some OXPs to one have one type of Ghavial (and thereby lose the other shipset colouring)?
- appreciate that one model has a completely different body kit than another, hence the different price?
- accept that 10 identical 2nd-hand Ford Mondeos in Exchange and Mart will all have different prices, and Oolite can do the same, and remember caveat emptor?

Edit: On looking at the shipyard.plist files, I find Old Ships specified the price of the Ghavial as ₢180,000 and PAG's Old Ships 2010 specifies ₢220,000 ... it is a third OXP, Staer9's Shipset (shaded) v1.0.oxp, that wants ₢400,000 for the Ghavial! :o I thought I had been careful, adding these ship OXPs one at a time. There's plenty of scope for confusion here! Even more reason for newbies to shop around carefully when looking for their next ship upgrade.

I apologise for the inconveinience, I can upload an overide oxp that would just contain shipyard_overides.plist to match the pricing. What I actually did was CnP the shipyard from neolites (presuming it was correct).

Of course, you can put the price difference down to the high cost of chevron tape :P

Today I have reuploaded this OXP to my .box account.

The new and hopefully working link is here:

Edited to add. This .oxp needs a real update in terms of roles etc but it will work in Oolite 1.81 and the nightly builds.
