You can tinker for ages with the custom colours… mixing the RGB levels… great fun.

I'm flying a Cobra Courier at the moment. Am in the market for a Griff Cobra III, after which I will try my hand at a custom paint job, inspired by your efforts, and thx to Griff's work.

"Oolite Interstellar Spacelines, in association with Griff Shipyards and the Free Mexican Air Force, are pleased to welcome you aboard this Cobra Mk III flight, bound for Zaquesso system. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 39,000 kilometres and will shortly be entering Hyperspace. Your pilot today, Commander Coyote, hopes that you have a pleasant flight… and luckily, he’s stone cold sober. Please fasten your seatbelts and hang on to your hats!"

Any issues with ATI drivers/shaders appear to be resolved now (at least on my machine), and Griff’s ship set is ‘los cojones del perro’.

Griff’s ship set can be found here.

Dammit. Good news, but latest official drivers for my video card are from 16th december. Few weeks more and I'm gonna send something unpleasant to Acer support...

Sarin, if you’re using Windows (I presume it's a laptop), Diziet Sma has a great tutorial on ‘modding’ your laptop’s drivers here.

Not my thing, laptops, but this might help.

well, i'm still having the odd "issue".
apparently AMD replied about my rendermonkey issue but i never got it, so i've asked them to resend. and recently, i've had about 3 driver crashes. things freeze, go black then the VPU recovers and asks me to send a mail. not heard owt back tho. seems to be when i have PShop, Milkshape and RM open at the same time, tho Oolite did the same when i had that open in place of RM today.

Just an idea, KW. I had the black screen and VPU recover twice.
In the 3D settings in CCC, I disabled the Catalyst AI and have had no more problems since. I'd had it disabled for Oolite playing reasons (it seems to cause the occasional stutter) for months, but when I installed the latest driver I'd forgotten to disable it again. Seems odd I know, but it might be worth a try.

reply from tech supp, they advise i get the 10.2 catalyst drivers, so i guess i'll d/l them, then try the 3D settings thing if that's still playing stupid buggers. not sure it's entirely drivers tho, like i say the game looks good enough but RM doesn't, whic to me would suggest it's just an RM prob :-/
