Not at the moment. I could PM you a link if it is okay with Spara.

Re: Random Hits OXP
For my personal enjoyment, I modified RH 1.4.18 to produce an ultra-light version. Not into hit jobs anymore but Griff's space bar is a logical addition to the game. Posting to thank you, Spara, for the script you provided elsewhere that brings back the market for older OXP's.

Re: Quote of the week!
It should have been obvious - I thought it would be obvious - but I would like to clarify, just in case it wasn't. In a key sentence in my remarks, I said the word "would" instead of "wouldn't." The sentence should have been: I don't see any reason why I wouldn't - or why it wou...

Re: A question of lore
Robot Slaves comes from the 8 bit NES version of Elite. More of a 'Politically Correct' move than an introduction of AI to the game. Ian Bell thought highly of the NES version.
OT: My avatar also from NES Elite.

Re: Game style
Slower reflexes and arthritic hands mean I can no longer do combat... I find that hard to believe, señor. I am afflicted with the same conditions and, as you know, I've always been a keyboard pilot. I find using my hands actually improves the stiffness in the knuckles somewhat. I still enjoy a good...

Stormbrewer Strigine
A_C, nice illustration of specularity on those three ships. Probably a better term for it is just plain old Opacity. Unless they are the same thing; Alpha Channel - Alpha Opacity - Opacity? They are not quite the same thing. Opacity or Transparency in the context of image manipulation allows the use...

Re: Screenshots
One final question. Does the use of shaders preclude solid designs such as the ones presented in my post above? No. In fact, the opposite is true. Every shader designed ship studied utilizes a much more diffuse texture with an alpha channel at less than 100%. Not sure what you mean here, but the al...

I detect a degree of sarcasm in that reply, and justly so.RockDoctor wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:00 pmNo? Seriously? What could possibly have prompted that?the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has a no-weapons policy for its events.
Maybe some feared Trump would have a fit and grab a loaded weapon?
Re: Happy ***
Happy holiday wishes to all of you, wherever you are. My fondest memory of this time of year is when school let out at mid-day before Christmas break. There lived at that time (60 years ago) a tall, white-bearded gentleman who rode down main street in a horse-drawn buggy. He played Santa Claus for a...

Not a big fan of Quantum. They've moved things and changed some icons. Guess I'm just an old stick-in-the-mud.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
I'm going to give you a pass even though your answer to the third part is not quite correct. From the Wiki: "Although the crew, headed by Commander Michael Haydon (Kieron Moore), initially believe they are on a scientific mission, the scientist on board, Professor Merrity (Donald Wolfit), is re...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
This British science fiction film was released about 10 years after the start of the Atomic Age. The plot involves the creation of a spaceship manned by a crew of six, of which only one knows the true mission.
Name the film, the ship, and the secret mission.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia
Correct on all counts. I hand the baton back to you, Malacandra.
As I pondered what poser to post, it dawned on me the irony in the book relative to current political events. I am referring, of course, to the Trump presidency. Such a biography would deserve the title, Bio of a Wannabe Tyrant.
