Re: Realistic damage

the value should be displayed in the HUD http://wiki.alioth.net/img_auth.php/thumb/d/d7/CombatMFD1.9.png/800px-CombatMFD1.9.png Note the Hull bar left from the clock. This need CombatMFD and Large or XL HUD in HUDSelector, but you can make it into any HUD using the same tricks. This property can be...

Re: (BETA) Station Dock Control OXP

For me the immersion is what i like most about this oxp, seeing part of the destinations and the ability to slip into a slot adds to the feeling of being in a train station/airport (and looking at the departure screens). A solution could be a oxpconfig setting strict ( current settings ), medium ( ...

Re: [Release] Dragonships

These look wonderfully retro, especially the Draco, I love this design aesthetic. Excellent work!

Re: (Almost) the same name on different ships?

Hmm, while looking in a cursory and casual manner about the wiki, I don't seem to find any dinosaur themed names for Oolite ships, or if there are they're in a distinct minority! Now, I know what you brainy sorts will say, dinosaurs weren't reptiles, and the chances are pretty high their descendants...

SMIVS!

You are an officer and a gentlepumpkin, and I take back every mean thing I never said about you. These are a treat and that blue livery on the C2 looks very very familiar!

:D

(P.S.; I am also delighted to be considered, 'a friend'. Thank you, that's worth more than any ship model.)

Re: [RELEASE] Rescue Stations 1.2.4 (25 Mar 2012)

The RRS discount version of the flight formation computer is not replaced by the non-discount version when bought, is not primable and does not work. The non-discount version does, if bought separately. While I'm probably one of the only ones still /deliberately/ using this version of the OXP for p...

Re: [Release] Staer9's Shipset

The PCC is an old design and comes from more peaceful times. Also it is a freighter, not a warship, although these distinctions can get blurred as you've noticed. Personally I'd like to see more of this - too many ships these days seem to try to be all things to all men, and I'd rather prefer desig...

The Spam is a living animal, cloned from hot-dog tissue, and is the only mammal with no hair, teeth or bones, which is why people so seldom choose to photograph it. Its only relative is a synthetic jellyfish, the Velveeta. --Ask Dr. Science!

Re: Introduce Yourself.

Even your screen name/avatar are a blast from the past!

Does your ship come with mystery-solving teen girl detectives, perchance?

(And now I'm picturing a Witchspace Drive powered by tiny dinosaurs in a hamster wheel made from sticks.)

Unga-bunga, me welcome you to forum.

Re: Realistic damage

I' knew about some of these OXPs (but not "BattleDamage") and I'll have a more detailed look in them. It doesn't look like any of them would address my main concern, that equipment damage should only occur if the hull has taken some damage already, but seeing these OXPs raises my hope tha...

Re: Optional equipment for OXP player ships

I found that most of the ships in the core shipyard.plist have the naval energy unit in their optional equipment list, and as I said, my Python didn't. Was that the reason for not getting it awarded? On the other hand, I could buy and use passenger berths, a galactic hyperspace and a mining laser, ...

Toying with Reshade: Oolite in black & white, with plenty of filmgrain and CRT scanline fx applied. Looks like a retro movie a bit. It was another typical day in Zaonce; all days in Zaonce are typical. /This planet is a tedious place./ Well, between the locals in their grey-toned, tall-collared...

Re: (BETA) Station Dock Control OXP

I'd also add that it's a pirate's dream, too. Just plunk yourself in for a launch right behind a boa, anaconda, or python-- and the OXP even shows you the size of the escort-- and follow it through the wormhole to the next system for an easy hit. It's even quicker than waiting at the station buoy to...
