Back in my C64 (the enemies weren't as smart back then) days I remember the tactic of getting really close to other ships and releasing missile being effective as it hit before could use ECM. Have tried this in Oolite enemy ECM activates really quickly. Is this still a viable tactic? The Enemy AI ha...

Is it possible to have an external view of my ship whilst flying.
If so what keys do I need to press.
I have version 1.71.2.

I had this problem. Am new to this although had Elite on C64 many years ago.
I signed off oolite with jostick plugged in and went in again. I think you have to have joystick plugged in before starting up
