Re: Is it "too soon"?
Might be fun to have that car elon musk sent into space flying through the Ooniverse as a rare encounter, wouldn't mind sending a couple of missiles chasing after that

asteroids style game generated by Wikipedia edits
Quite a fun clone of Asteroids, rocks are spawned every time someone somewhere makes an edit on Wikipedia, has some fun powerups and stuff, gets a bit challenging https://asteroids.wiki/ Gameplay: A classic asteroids arcade game with a Wikipedia twist! Each edit to an article on Wikipedia spawns an ...

Re: griff SpecGloss ships
Thanks for the kind words guys! I'm hoping to give the Moray Medical it's own model but i might tackle the fer-de-lance next, been collecting various speedboat and fancy billionaire yacht photos for inspiration and turning green with envy

Re: griff SpecGloss ships
Wow, didn't meant to leave it so long between uploads, can't believe its been a year since the Adder  I've added a Moray to the shared folder on my google drive (link page 1 of this thread) I'm having problems uploading screenshots for some reason, page just keeps timing out, suspect it's my ...

Re: Recommended tool for extensive editing of planetinfo.plist ?
MrFlibble's mention of regexe there in their post reminded me of once using them in Notepad++ to fix something in a huge text file for work, can't remember what it was now but it did sort it, might be worth a look maybe if you haven't already notepad++: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ RegEx Cheat She...

Nice shader effect A_C!!
Any plans for it or just experimenting with code?
Looks awesome, could maybe get triggered when an ECM goes off nearby, make it look like the ship viewport cameras are bugging out

Re: The Shipyard at the End of the Ooniverse. Modeller's bit.
Modo, a pretty decent 3D app has wound down development :( and it's owners 'The Foundry' have made it available to download with a 10 year off-line licence. Has Windows, Apple Mac and Linux versions. I realise it's probably a waste of time learning a discontinued 3D app but it might be worth a peep ...

Jeez that sounds tough, i think i remember you guesting on one of Drew's Twitch streams and talking about how much of a nightmare it was dealing with Frontier, It's really great to see you back on the boards here

Re: Aurora
Amazing photos!
I did have a quick look up at the sky but there was way too much light pollution, living next door to a work yard that's lit up like the superbowl in the evenings

Re: Issue with moving exhausts
I think the point the laser beam is drawn from drifts a bit too if you rotate the camera in an external view, it's either that or the beam gets drawn after the model has been so it can appear on "top" of geometry it should be "behind" edit: ah what a_c said above with the example...

Re: [Release] Imperial Astrofactory 2.0
I love the green gradient on the dome in this example, looks like its foggy and being lit from inside! Hmm... interesting thought. But rather than the grey, what about something like this: https://i.postimg.cc/W4jHQWtx/image.png Improvement? when i saw that, it got me thinking if the Oolite's Materi...

Re: Screenshots
I'll try and document that sidewinder shader effect, i'm a pretty bad coder though so i think they way i'm doing it isn't that great, but it's not much more than mixing in some extra textures into the final colour output from the shader, i think the chipping away paint was achieved with just a regul...
