Something seems not to be right with the docking AI. I was running the 1.62 version on a PC laptop (1.7gig, 1gig ram) and as I was docking, the station spat out two sidewinders, both a little too close for comfort, and then used up so much virtual memory that it did not crash, but caused my display ...

Built in keymapping feature?

I was thinking that something added to the Options menu when docked, that could allow a player to change mapped keys from inside the game would be nice. This would greatly help players, such as myself that are predisposed to a previous control confguration (such as the C64/Amiga settings). :D

Oolite is a great simulator and does not seem to have all that many polygons to map, but it seems that docking, or coming close to it, eats the virtual memory. I have even been in large battles (six ships, AI and all) and have not had such problems but once in the space station range (where the S sh...
