Interesting....I put a new build up at yesterday (http://nic.dnsalias.com/pioneer.zip - I added the Cobra Mk 3 from Oolite to it) - but not come across the single core issue. Will try and debug that. Please post your feedback/bugs/etc. Thanks, -Nic EDIT: http://nic.dnsalias.com/pioneer.exe <--- this...

@milinks: There's nothing windows specific that's stopping the issue. Giles is your man here to solve this. You need more functionality added, so you can specifiy more precisely what you want. Shouldn't be too tricky.....

@dajt: Well done :)

@Rxke: I can handle the traffic :) Not me that handles it though. Handled by a guy in sweden, you can see the servers here: http://leffe.dnsalias.com/ ;)

But it does need to go on Berlios too. If things have calmed down i'll build a full installer and pop it up there soon.

@winston: Ok, i'll follow you and aegidians lead on this then. I won't mention laser cooling again. I didn't explain myself in regard to openapp. I know it's not needed (windows build doesn't package it either), but I was just giving it as an example of something I tried in the new GNUstep that fail...

@aegidian: The problem is currently dogfighting with multiple targets doesn't feel at all right, because after your first kill you invariably have to wait around until your laser cools down. Otherwise your military laser ends up acting like a slow pulse beam. I think from the number of posts mention...

@aegidian: Is there a solution in the works for people who would like some way to speed up the cooling of lasers? I'll remove the laser cooling feature from my next release. @winston: I'll try and do that ASAP. Need a little time, might get some this evening. Still haven't had broadband installed ye...

Try this: http://www.scitechsoft.com/products/ent/gld_home.php (the download for it is at the bottom of this page: http://www.scitechsoft.com/products/product_download.html ) That replaces your OpenGL drivers with drivers that wrap around Direct3D ones. It's only a demo, so eventually will time out,...

@aegidian: Damn it. Sorry. Because I had lots of debug code in my changes too, I re-added things by hand. Everything was in nice #ifdef's, I must have missed those though. Sorry and thanks for cleaning up my mess. I knew my first ever SVN commit wouldn't go without one hiccup. Thanks, -Nic Edit &...

Just tried this on Windows.....Hitting Shift-Z makes you completely unzoom to 1:1 rather than just go up a level.

Is that intended?

I'm guessing we need to add unzoom_pressed equivalents of zoom_pressed (?)

Cumulative. i.e. after installing the base install ( http://nic.dnsalias.com/oolite-1.63gusto-r305-alpha20060310-win32.exe ) You will only have to install the latest update. Most of the time, the update is simply a new executable, so it is pretty simple to do a cumulative update build :) SVN is curr...

Oolite Update (rev: 334)

http://nic.dnsalias.com/OoliteUpdate-rev334-20060315.exe (680kb) I'm going to try to release updates now, rather than full builds. To keep the install size down. So you need to have http://nic.dnsalias.com/oolite-1.63gusto-r305-alpha20060310-win32.exe already installed and then install the OoliteUpd...
