The repair bots probably can fix it, though it may need quite a number of trials. Maybe if you buy the basic energy unit, you can afterwards buy the naval one again. Buying a ship which has equipment pre-fitted that is not available otherwise is not worth it most of the time - you end up without a b...

I think, when you get help from them somewhere else, it's only an illusion: They would have attacked the pirates even without you. That's somehow logical too, because you can't call for help. Certainly not. I recall a situation when they said "if it was up to me you'd already be dead..."....

If I recall, the Viper zoomed in between a Commander and his opponent, whilst a missile happened to be enroute.. it wasn't really intentional, of course, but it gave the appearance of someone making a noble sacrifice. Hence my use of the word 'apparently'. Did the cop die even ? Viper interceptors ...

I assume you're talking about the Combat Balance OXZ mentioned earlier in the thread - where can it be downloaded? It doesn't show up on the wiki or the game installer. so the cheap ones are only useful if your target is alone and low on power, in which case lasers are probably going to do the job anyway, and more often than not explode on launch (enemy ECM response seems WAY too fast on this, incidentally, shouldn't there be a teeny delay for the enemy to notice ...

Hmm.. as an (albeit minor) equipment upgrade, it belongs in Equipment, surely? As I wrote into the readme, I think that it's the way the core game should behave and don't want an equipment for it. My equipment list has gotten too long also. It makes the game somewhat easier...in the core game, not ...

I recall one time, off to the side, there must have been a big naval engagement going on.. and somebody set off a q-bomb, as blue globes suddenly erupted way off in the distance.. had to have been a big fight, as the fireworks went on for what seemed like several minutes, across hundreds of kilomet...

From all of my addons [wiki]Variable_Masslock[/wiki] is the one that makes it easier the most, since most of the time you can get out of the pirates' scanner range before they decide to attack you then. Perhaps with jumpdrive even. Don't go the straight route to the station...90° out into open space...
