Only if it would be a buyable equipment imho.

Therein lies a tale, by the sounds of things.. please tell us more.

Nothing special only the usual woes of a small bulk hauler in an Feudal System --> https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f= ... 58#p243658

Hmm.. as an (albeit minor) equipment upgrade, it belongs in Equipment, surely?
As I wrote into the readme, I think that it's the way the core game should behave and don't want an equipment for it. My equipment list has gotten too long also.

It makes the game somewhat easier...in the core game, not much, as there are only basic and ecm-hardened missiles. Both make a woop-woop sound when launched and are visible in the scanner. But in the armada scenario from TCAT I just played it was a big help; at most it is in a crowded thargoid battle when you mistakenly think no missiles are targeting you but just thargons. I think this was the cause of my unexpected BOOM press space encounters.

Ahh.. fair enough.. I was under the impression it was buyable..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
