Thank you very much indeed!
Worked perfectly, the only confusing thing is, that it still does not show up in the dash as a used application - all others, like games, picture viewer, even the terminal do.
But I think, I will feel free to ignore that too...
Thank you again, best greetings!

Re: How do I run Oolite 1.84 without using the terminal?
Hello Stormrider, thank you for stepping in! That seems strange, can you find it under games in the menu? No, unfortunately not. I can't even find the folder "Games" in my files. With mint mate 17.3 I can left click on the desktop and select create launcher from the drop menu and point it ...

Re: Trouble shooting, deinstall Oolite 1.82 and install it n
Thank you so much! 2. In the most probable case of yes to the above, it may be an issue with the key assigned to it. Due to the way SDL keyboard input handling works, UK (or even other international) keyboards may have a problem with the default '\' key and may actually respond to '#' instead. Yes, ...

Re: Trouble shooting, deinstall Oolite 1.82 and install it n
Thanks a lot cody and thanks a lot kanthoney! :) :) I managed to deinstall and reinstall Oolite, and managed to adapt the keyconfig.plist. Unfortunately the problem with the advanced space compass is still there: It doesn't switch through the objects it should show. Other changes I made in key confi...

Hi evrybody, I got a problem: roughly a year ago I managed, with the help of Diziet Sma, to install Oolite 1.80 under Ubuntu 14.04. Somehow - I do not remember exactly how - I upgraded to 1.82 and since then I encounter some bugs: the cloaking device does not cloak my ship (but takes the energy as i...

Re: Can't install Oolite 1.80 under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
G'day to you too, Diziet Sma!
Thank you very very much !
Installation worked perfectly, just took me some time to find out how to launch the game. Finally I managed and now I'm off to Zaonce to get me a beercooler!
Looks great and hey - its full of stars!

[Solved] Can't install Oolite 1.80 under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Hi all!
I'm new on Linux, and want to install 1.80. When I try to open the .run file the script open in a gedit-file. 1.77 installed via the Ubuntu Software-Center runs smoothly, so it should work.
Can anybody help?
Thx in advance
