Thanks. I'm not qualified to fix the models. I have no 3d skills. Just 2d. Also, if anyone knows, in general, will fixing models obsolete the UV mapping? And since dat2objTex won't work on >1 texture, thus losing the UV mapping data, would they have to be totally remapped and redone? re: changing th...

Just an idea.
For any
shipFoo_Texture.png
there could exist
shipFoo_Texture_PLAYER.png
that would be loaded for just the player ship.
It shouldn't break anything currently existing.
This would end the need to modify save files (unless I'm missing some easier way).

I could put a bit of the docking interior in that spot but it would be static and not change with your viewing angle. Also I'm not sure if the docking interior an absolute. Can you force a misjump? Never had one in Oolite / happened way too often in the big old E. [Hard to summarize for title.] When a texture is loaded do the unused parts of the texture image take up many resources? Some of the textures I am working on have no UV map and no 'coloring book' outline. I can fill the entire image with a pattern but the end result .png is usually double the normal...
