Tone down the market so that it's still worth to visit, but it's not worth to do milk runs between the main station and SecCom station. Equipment discounts need to be restricted somehow. Maybe they are available only after accomplishing a mission or something. Sort of access to the military shipyar...

Yes I know that, but it is also why HMISN is neither better than nor a replacement for the Gal Navy expansion. It is a different expansion that caters to different tastes and expectations.Smivs wrote:True, and very intentionally so.

I think it would be a shame if development and maintenance of galactic navy were to cease. That's not correct. It is correct. See I can play that game too. Viper in ED with a proper outfitting can defeat any ship. I think the only things ED has going for it right now are its UI, the flight model for controlling your spaceship and how wonderful docking at space stations is. Otherwise ED feels a bit lifeless compared to Oolite, especially when you have a few expansion packs installed. Certainly on a VFM basis, ...

I love the Caddy, it has some of the best background of any ship and is such an easy vessel to write stories about in my head. They're not exactly a cheap vessel to run, given most engineers scratch their heads in bewilderment at Shulth bio-engineering and if you don't turn off the biometric sensors...
