Re: Haven't been around for a looong time...

I wonder how many users from a time past do this? It's been at least a year since I last posted. (Not that I ever posted much :P)

Joystick Button/Axis requirements

In the Oolite Joystick config, there is the option to set roll, pitch, and yaw to an axis and thrust to axis OR button. Why are we limited to only axis for roll, pitch, and yaw? It's obviously not a impossibility due to the default keyboard controls being button based. I have a joystick with yaw/twi...

Re: [solved] analog joystick dead zone

Wow. I have been searching for an answer to that issue for years. I just rediscovered my account here and the first thing I see is just what I needed. I am very impressed and happy! (Also amazed at how many of the old faces are still around and how many are long gone!)

The reference sheet does tell the data - for the built-in ships, but it does not solve the problem of being able to know specs in game. The wiki does not even have data for all of the ships (see how big this list is! http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Category:Oolite_ship_stubs ). Wouldn't it be fairl...

More comprehensive ship data

Whenever I decide to buy a new ship in Oolite, I always have to open up the wiki and search on each ship option to find information not given in game (If it is even on the wiki!) such as missile pylons, roll and pitch, witchspace capability, etc. All the screen in game shows is speed and cargo. Woul...

I am running Vista currently, and I am unable to reproduce this bug. I launch from station, resize window, pause, and watch my RAM meter, which does not show a change at all over 5 minutes.

There is a typo in the 2nd page:
2) Certain OPXs will add extra types of selfguiding
weapons to Oolite. The game will
use the missile IFF flag to show them.

Oolite will last quite a while longer, I would think that most of the younglings like myself would spread the game and keep playing.

I tried to follow those instructions and it all worked until the final "make debug=no" step, where I got this Error: avery@ubuntu:~/Oolite-dev/1.72.2$ make debug=no GNUmakefile:1: /common.make: No such file or directory GNUmakefile:31: /objc.make: No such file or directory make: *** No rul...
