Anyway, I changed the generator program to create a seed based on the given Random_Seed so all the planets have different geography now, but the colours are all wrong - rust red and dark greens, etc. Not sure what's going on there - that isn't what is in the generated texture. Maybe use the entirel...

Maybe it is time for a new legal category: War Criminal. Which makes even normal criminals like pirates not like you. Given that Q-bomb use is so banned, a rating for people using big weapons of mass destruction (energy bombs aren't that bad) makes some sense. I still do not know what exactly is the...

hehe...my Incom Tie-Interceptor(.600LS) can out run those things...all i do is fuel inject for 2 seconds and let the engines do the rest Incom? Should be Sienar Fleet Systems... Incom makes the X-Wing, Correllian Engineering Corp. makes the YT1300, Koensayr makes the Y-Wing. SFS makes all of the TIEs

No, I didn't want to make it, it was to complicated. And yes, the TIEs have shields. A normal TIE-Fighter against three Thargoid Warships, that would be... interesting without shields. Actually, the TIE/ln (the basic TIE fighter from SW:aNH): "TIE fighters were typically employed en masse to m...

The Paint Shop

As suggested: An OXP that allows the player to choose among the base skins and those available in all of the installed OXPs for the same ship. You pay a small fee and presto: your scratched and bruised bird looks like a shiny angel of death, to match the fearless commander inside. I do not know if i...

You got Murgh to thank for that, my original intention was to have them exactly the same as the in-game ships. My intention was at first to only to add variety to the Ooniverse. Murgh convinced me to make some playerbuyable. He pointed out, correctly, that as players were unable to admire their own...

Or to put it another way "replace original coriolis texture with gritty one".
There should be an occasional shiny one! A station that looks like it was just taken out of spacedock. Maybe to replace one that got messed up in an unfortunate q-bomb handling accident....

All the ships will be classic elite ships, but heavily made over. Many will be enhacnced so that their stats will give even a commander in a top ship a run for his money! Sounds like an interesting OXP. Please keep the makeovers within reasonable limits. There should be limits to which you can push...

If/when I get around to player-ship turrets, they'll be slaved to the targeting system - the locked target will gain a marker (possibly turning red) when the turret is able to fire, and then pressing the fire button will do the rest. No offense, but that makes life a bit easy... Not to mention that...

Bunch of questions

Dear commanders, I have a couple of questions for those who can anser them: * Is the referencesheet that Darkbee made is still up to date after so many changes? I saw the Q-bomb is not on version 1.7... * Has any of the existing equipment been renamed recently? * Did I miss the Imperial Courier ship...

transparent reticle?

Just a thought about the userfriendliness of this add-on: current (real-world) HUD tech projects stuff over the window without blotting out what is behind it. Wouldn't it be possible to have a 50% transparent targeting enhancement? That way you know what en when to attack, and can still see whatever...

The Phoenix AAM that equipped US Navy Tomcats had a home on ECM function, and also there is ALARM/HARM anti-radiation missiles. Except that in Oolite, ECM is not on all of the time, so a lock of an ECM seeker would be lost. Furthermore, this type of missile would not work against flak point defense...

I'd really, really, really like yaw control. A roll/pitch model makes very little sense in space. In order to aim to the left, one must first roll, then pitch (i.e., do the actual aiming); with yaw control one could make a precise movement in the right direction. This is especially true with analog...
