If you don't find the standard game challenging enough, why not add some of the many expansions? Add a war, an evil criminal organisation, or whatever else takes your fancy. Anyone can make money on straight cargo runs but you need a shedload of money to start with, or you can't afford the deposits...

Anaconda across the galaxy a very easy and a very boring thing. It would destroy the game balance. Some ships can have less than 7 LY of fuel, and some can have more than 7 LY, i.e. from 3 to 15. ED also suffers from the same flaw as F:E2 and FFE, in that bigger ships are pretty much better by default. In Oolite, you can have a small fast tough fighter vessel, like the Wolf MkII or the Muramasa. That's not correct. Viper in ED with a proper outfitting can defeat any ship. Moreover, smugglin...

I know that ED has been Beta tested for a while now but do you think that the official release with see people flocking away from Oolite? I for one will be sticking with life in the Ooniverse. Mining should be very difficult to use as weapon, ie. because of big cooldown and short range.
