Re: The Honourable Guild of Test Pilots
Hi. I've been directed here by Smivs and would like to offer my services. I've been playing since mid-January and enjoying every minute of it. I'd very much like to give something back. Being a new test pilot it would probably be better to take on something smallish at first. Please feel free to mes...

Re: I feel a right Muppet...
Hi Griff The standalone Boa OXP is indeed the Griff Prototype OXP (griff_boa_prototype_normalmapped.oxp) that I downloaded from the Wiki OXP list. I'll see how my computer holds up with what I already have on it and may try installing the other standalones. Out of interest I am running a Lenovo Idea...

Re: I feel a right Muppet...
Thanks Captain, I owe you a drink at the nearest Seedy Space Bar. I'll have to clear the 4 Cr bounty off my head first though, the last one I tried visiting didn't like me being there and ran me out... I've downloaded the stations from the link you gave and I'll try them out later. I'll try e...

I feel a right Muppet...
... but at least I saved myself the embarassment of creating an official error report about it. I am writing about it here though so maybe that's about as embarassing. I have Griff's Shipset in my AddOns folder as well as Random Hits (amongst others). I visited the “The Wanted Dead or Alive” at Usce...

Re: Hypercargo OXP from Thargoid....
Target Reticule is working fine now after I re-installed Oolite and the OXPs I had. I guess I did something to stop it working while checking out the MilHUD 4.0. Could I suggest that on the next version that the text be enlarged and then I might feel more comfortable using it? I'm still fairly new t...

Re: Hypercargo OXP from Thargoid....
Thanks Wildeblood.
I thought it looked the layout looked pretty good although I couldn't see the crosshairs at all, just a slightly grey circle where they would/should have been - I can't rule out a problem with my eyes though.
I might give it another try when I get my new reading glasses.

Re: Hypercargo OXP from Thargoid....
I already had purchased it. Something I did stopped it working. No worries after some deletion and reinstallation of Oolite it's back up and running.

Re: Hypercargo OXP from Thargoid....
I think I might have a wider issue. Target Reticule no longer works either. I wanted to put a new HUD in the Add-On file that I saw already has Target Reticule's functionality (MiHUD 4.0) but decided the message typeface was too small so wanted Target Reticule back. After I put it back in the Add-On...

Hypercargo OXP from Thargoid....
Hi I've put this OXP in my add-on directory but so far it hasn't featured on the available equipment list in any of the planetary systems I've visited so far. Can anyone advise me whether I have to find a higher Tech level to get it - nothing in the ReadMe file nor a search of the boards has given m...

Re: Joystick recommendation for Windows Oolite
Thanks everyone. I like the look of the Saitek joystick Wyvern mentioned but its over my budget. I think I'll look for the Cyborg X in the computer centre tomorrow, failing that I'll order it online. I'm already pretty well hooked on Oolite now and I really like being able to put add-ons into the ga...

Re: Joystick recommendation for Windows Oolite
Thanks.
Since I posted that I've also been looking on Youtube for Joysticks and quite like the look of the Saitek Cyborg X, does anyone you know have any experience with that one? (i.e. compatibility-wise)

Joystick recommendation for Windows Oolite
I downloaded Oolite a few days ago and have been reliving the past since then, it's good to see the original Elite updated. I guess my fingers aren't what they used to be. The keyboard controls are quite hard, especially in a dogfight. Would anyone be able to recommend a good joystick that would be ...
