Smart Crash Reports

I keep getting the request to install Smart Crash Reports, even though I keep ticking the box not to be asked in future.

I suppose the obvious solution is to install it....

I can confirm the Hillegass book is excellent - once I'd got my head round a couple of things. I came from a Pascal/BASIC/Assembler background, and the mindset took a bit of getting used to. But the book is thorough in what it details, and it does then show you how to get the most from the Apple doc...

I did suggest to Giles a while back that if you have multiple missiles locked on targets, there ought to be a multi launch capability.

He came up with Shift-M as a concept, but I don't think it got implemented.

You can customise the key controls, by modifying keyconfig.plist. More details on the Wiki.

And yet when I hang around the streets "looking for business", the police move me on. Tsk.

And what should escorts do when their leader is destroyed?

On a related note, most largish objects have a "shadow" on the HUD radar showing their size. Rock Hermits don't seem to have this. Are they not quite big enough? Or am I just inattentive?

I don't necessarily expect to have both, but I did expect it to do the same thing as lasers, where you get a refund for the one you already have when you buy another.

I'll check on the actual loss.

Energy Unit Toggle Purchase

I drive a Wolf Mk II, with a Naval Energy Unit. At high TL planets, I am offered for sale an Extra Energy Unit. Always one to want everything, I buy it. Now, the Naval Energy Unit is in the list of stuff to purchase. I can toggle between the two, losing money as I go. This may be related to another ...

OK, well, I've just just written my first couple of programs in ObjC using Xcode, so I should be able to write it in about 12 months time.

The point is: I don't know how easy the implemetation would be, but it would need to be implemented in the code . It's not OXPable, as it would need keystrokes to be defined for the preset answers. And this can't be done with an OXP. I disagree. In Assassins OXP, there are NPC ships that give out v...

I, for one, welcome momentum-flinging space stations.

It adds to the open-ended feel of the game, and it's nice thing to try when you have some spare time.

The station will be restored the next time you visit the system, anyway.

Torus space stations' sphere of influence

I don't know if this relates to the Tori oxp or Oolite in general, but:

Normally, you can't hyperspace less than 10km from a space station.
For Tori, it is a much larger distance, nearer 20-25km.

Is this deliberate?

LittleBear has the correct answer: some ships’ laser mounts are more off-centre (relative to the camera) than others’. The answer, perhaps, but not the solution. There are some ships that I just cannot fly, because the sights are so off. If something is in the middle of your sights, then you ought ...
