I can confirm the Hillegass book is excellent - once I'd got my head round a couple of things. I came from a Pascal/BASIC/Assembler background, and the mindset took a bit of getting used to. But the book is thorough in what it details, and it does then show you how to get the most from the Apple doc...

Energy Unit Toggle Purchase
I drive a Wolf Mk II, with a Naval Energy Unit. At high TL planets, I am offered for sale an Extra Energy Unit. Always one to want everything, I buy it. Now, the Naval Energy Unit is in the list of stuff to purchase. I can toggle between the two, losing money as I go. This may be related to another ...

The point is: I don't know how easy the implemetation would be, but it would need to be implemented in the code . It's not OXPable, as it would need keystrokes to be defined for the preset answers. And this can't be done with an OXP. I disagree. In Assassins OXP, there are NPC ships that give out v...

Torus space stations' sphere of influence
I don't know if this relates to the Tori oxp or Oolite in general, but:
Normally, you can't hyperspace less than 10km from a space station.
For Tori, it is a much larger distance, nearer 20-25km.
Is this deliberate?

LittleBear has the correct answer: some ships’ laser mounts are more off-centre (relative to the camera) than others’. The answer, perhaps, but not the solution. There are some ships that I just cannot fly, because the sights are so off. If something is in the middle of your sights, then you ought ...
