Praise for maik!

Post by DaddyHoggy »

I just wanted to say well done to maik for scooping up all the OXPs and WIPs and putting them on the wiki - I mean I had about a millions unread threads when I logged on today which gave me a fright but it was a good reason to see why!

Well done maik!

Yes... he has been a busy wiki wizard... well done, sir!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Great job Maik!

It's a repetitious job that goes unnoticed by most.

All our heartfelt appreciations!(I'll try not to give you any more work. )
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

It's an awesome and daunting task you're doing.
Lots of us OXP makers aren't good at that sort of thing -- for me it's really hard just to make a proper readme.txt file for any OXP I make. Doing a web page for it is like being told I have to do a 5 page research paper...due tomorrow!

My Misjump Inducer OXP isn't on the OXP list, but I have since been told it's not even needed to do misjumps with NPC wormholes. It can be found here:

Actually it's not that difficult to create a Wiki page. I create the content of my OXP pages by simply c&p'ing the readMe's and using some Wiki formatting (mainly just headlines). If I get very ambitious I add a screenshot or two, but for most of my OXPs I wasn't that ambitious.

I think I'm through the stuff that was posted in this forum since I went AWOL and added it where I saw fit, making up descriptions as I went. Let me know if you're the author and would like some description changed.

Thanks again for the encouragements, that helped keep the motivation ;-)

A belated YAY from me too.

It's seemingly small things like these that make the overall Oolite experience so good.

Mind the usage of 'seemingly'. I know it must have been a heck of a job!

Kudos! 8)
