[Solved] Changing folder locations...

Post by Robiko »

Hi all, I'd like to know if it's possible to change the folder locations of AddOns and oolite-saves to another location on another drive? The reason is I run Oolite on XP and Win7, both using the same location on a separate drive (that way whichever Windows version I'm on I always have the latest 'save', and also it saves space by not replicating my AddOns folder). Is there a config so I can do the same with Linux-Oolite so the folders are all in one central location?

You can create 'symlink's to wherever you want the files stored.
oolite-saves you can certainly change (just navigate to where you want from within Oolite), but AddOns is hard-coded to search a set of predetermined paths.
The glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
