Big Thanks

Post by XB7 »

I messed around with oolite quite a while ago and didn't think much of it. I've just recently downloaded and installed 92 user mods and only had to make a total of one change in a script. They all work together virtually bug free.

All I have to do is say, "that's unbelievable!" The play value everyone's injected into Elite is nothing less than a miracle.

Thanks!

You found a BUG! Don't worry, we'll find out who is responsible and they'll be shot on sight.
Seriously though, you are right. What this community has achieved is nothing short of miraculous. It's a testament to the potential of open-source, and a brilliant example of what a dedicated group of 'amateurs' can do.
And it will keep getting better...

So, where was this "bug" of which you speak?

The "bug" was hardly even worth mentioning. It may have to do with the fact that I run oolite on a widescreen. I have the neolite ships installed and I was getting a translucent tan bar that would render along the bottom of the screen. I modified the view_position_forward in shipdata for the cobra3-player from 7.25 to 7.1.

Cool new idiom:

First there was: "There is no spoon"
then: "Cake is a lie"
NOW: The bonnet is NOT a bug, it's a feature"

It has meme material written all over it!
