I've returned... Again. What oxps should I download?

Post by FSOneblin »

For those who don't know me and aren't slavers: It's nice to meet you. I'd Gladly help you any way I can... as long as you never trade slaves. To all of those new slavers: Kill yourself now, or be tortured to death as your crew watches, knowingly they will be next.

Back on topic, what new oxps should I download? And what happened while I was gone in general?

Let's see... Thargoid has two new missions in Gal 3, "To catch a Thargoid" and "Stealth".

Vector has some new features for 1.74 and Arexack Heretic has kindly offered us the chance to become Trumble Traders.....

That's all I can think of for the moment, but I've probably missed a few things.

Welcome back - the code in general has changed a bit I think while you were elsewhere - switchable HUDs and new backgrounds.

So get yourself the new new BGS from Svengali and PAGroove.

Griff has almost finished his astonishingly pretty full set of the core ships - so Dizzy's-all-in-one should definitely be a new addition to your set.

There's a whole new waft of new ships and stations and demos so perhaps get Thargoids flapping butterfly demo ships to see what's now possible.

There's loads more - but I've not had much coffee yet and my brain is still sleepy.

You don't tell me what to do. I'll look at the others though.

I feel that's a bit harsh. DaddyHoggy took the time to respond to your request

by telling you what, in his opinion, are the oxps that you should download, so why you should then object to that I don't understand.. :?

Don't sweat it Uncle R (though I appreciate the support), it would seem FSOneblin has returned with much the same BA as he left. I just presume he's left off the smilie (even though he probably hasn't).

Perhaps if I'd written, "So why don't you try the new BGS set from Svengali and PAGroove to see an OXP that enhances the game, that you won't have seen since you left and shows off the new code, as per your original request" - but then again that would have taken too long...

Tsk, DH, you big bully, 'forcing' people to try out good looking OXPs! :)

You big, big bully you! :D

And we've also got proof you're responsible for exposing young children to time-space rifts!!!!

PS: I wouldn't mind one too! ;)

@FSOneblin: DaddyHoggy used a colloquialism: 'so get yourself one of those' is never an order, just a piece of advice - one that immediately follows the explanation of why it would be good to get one of those.
And in my opinion, a pretty good piece of advice too.
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

The "You don't tell me what to do" has become a catchphrase of mine in my absence, and is meant to be taken sarcastically. I'm very sorry that I offended you or DaddyHoggy. I mean no offense and hope there are no hard feelings between us in the future.

As discussed via PM - no offence taken - it will not be mentioned again.

Hello onno256, welcome onboard .-)

Nice list, but maybe it's time to update some oxps (e.g. BlOomberg Markets, RandomHits, Snoopers, The Feudal States, Vector) if you're on v1.74.x.

Hey Svengali,

Thanks for the advice, I've been too busy playing, I guess.

I'll look into it, some of the missions are great (currently in the middle of Trident Down, which is great fun!)

Goin'updating noww.....

You might also want to look into the Deep Horizons Meta-Oxp.
There are some interesting things such as Gas Giant Skimming, dimmer lighting, and detailed planets.

Deep Horizons sounds interesting, does it work with System Redux?

Not at this time. It was intended as a expansion upon / alternative to CaptKev's System Redux.
