phpbb3, tapatalk

I've been browsing availeble phpbb clients for smartphones and found Tapatalk to look quite promising. It is available for all major smartphone OS but requires a plugin to be installed in phpBB and only supports phpBB 3.0.x.

Are there any plans to upgrade the Oolite BB? Would you consider installing the plugin? Or are there alternatives?

It would only be a convenience feature for me as I can browse the full HTML version but it's a lot of scrolling, zooming etc. A dedicated app would be a lot nicer :)

phpbb3 is free I believe.

Do you have access to the server? If so you should be able to upgrade manually.

I did this on the band's server before. phpbb2 only was available from the hosts, so I just installed the files on my pc and uploaded them into the relevant folders using the normal file upload options. That worked fine.

There is no spoon.

Somebody would say it anyway, sooner or later.

Yep, it is free and contains an upgrader as far as I can tell.

spoons == time, energy, will, sql debuggering stuff

Would really like not to mess up the current forum to build a new one.
