I've been browsing availeble phpbb clients for smartphones and found Tapatalk to look quite promising. It is available for all major smartphone OS but requires a plugin to be installed in phpBB and only supports phpBB 3.0.x.
Are there any plans to upgrade the Oolite BB? Would you consider installing the plugin? Or are there alternatives?
It would only be a convenience feature for me as I can browse the full HTML version but it's a lot of scrolling, zooming etc. A dedicated app would be a lot nicer

phpbb3 is free I believe.aegidian wrote:Would love to upgrade the bb to phpbb3 but lack necessary spoons.
Do you have access to the server? If so you should be able to upgrade manually.
I did this on the band's server before. phpbb2 only was available from the hosts, so I just installed the files on my pc and uploaded them into the relevant folders using the normal file upload options. That worked fine.

Yep, it is free and contains an upgrader as far as I can tell.
