NeoCaduceus - strange behaviour with Large Cargo Bay

Post by BlackKnight »

Every time I reload (often 2-3 times a session  ) my Caddy ends up with an LCB fitted (fair enough, I saved with one!) but only a 40-ton cargo capacity.
If I sell the LCB and repurchase it I go back to the 60-ton capacity I had before the reload.

Assuming I haven't 'broken' the Caddy and managed to get her to swallow the extra space when she shouldn't have, is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm running 1.73.4 on Windows Fista (and before any wiseass starts, replacing it with a Unix box is *not* an option, thank you!)

Has anyone else had the problem and I've just missed the solution?
(Beautiful ship, by the way.)
You really want to know what's gonna happen, Ambassador? Boom. Boom boom. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. BOOM!

This is a bug with the Large Cargo Bay in 1.73.4. When you buy it, it gives double the extension to the ship. This is restored to what it should normally be after the first reload. Nothing to do here, other than wait for 1.74, which has this fixed.

It's worth noting that the large cargo bay itself can be set to expand your cargo bay by more than the standard 15 tons on a ship-by-ship basis. (quite aside from the transitory double extension bug in 1.73.4)

Maybe a future version of the Caddy will take advantage of that... :)
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)
