Now Oolite's getting more and more clever w/ shadery thingies, are we any closer to being able to do transparency for skins and textures, other than the decally thing?

No. You can do binary masking in shaders (and it could be added for non-shader mode), but transparency is unlikely to ever happen.

Well… not until we get environment maps (EMMSTRAN). Mmm, refractionlicious!

Seeing through an entire ship is easier than seeing through part of it.

ah, that's a shame. is it just really complex to do, or is it something to do w/ the way the Oolite engine works?
