How do i sell my ship?!?!

Post by doomxorz »

i know this is probably a stupid question that has been answered, but I cannot figure out how to sell my ship! I can get to the screen where it lists all the ships for sale, and it says how much my ship is worth, but i can't figure out how to actually sell it! Help would be very much appreciated.

Buy another one, and the trade-in value will be deducted from the price. (You can only own one ship at a time.)

And—more important—you cannot own no ship. Therefore you cannot sell without buying, and the only way to sell is to buy and have the current value of your old ship refunded.

Oh, and welcome! :D

Oh 2: Usually asking your question on the boards suffices. No need to send PMs to half the members as well (or did you just choose me?).

Naught shall not be the number of thy counting, excepting that thou then proceed to one.

Errmmm... that would be nought..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

First you need a registered agent to represent you to potential buyers. Fortunately, I'm available and will do it for the low price of 10% of the transaction.

Not quite. According to Merriam-Webster "nought" is nothing but the alternative spelling for "naught".

(You will very (as in extremely) rarely catch Ahruman with any English error.)

Interestingly enough, it is related.

From the Online Etymology Dictionary
naughty
late 14c., naugti "needy, having nothing," from O.E. nawiht (see naught). Sense of "wicked, evil, morally wrong" is attested from 1520s.

"naught" is a statement of one's circumstances "he was reduced to naught" (e.g. he had not even an Adder (second hand) to his name)

"nought" is a noun, the name of the numeral "0" which signifies the value "zero"

While this distinction is made, it is not mandatory or universal. As with many aspects of language, the simple answer is wrong.

when talking about non-ownership of a spacecraft, in a space trading environment, a simple distiction might be adequate in preferring "naught" but language is forever dynamic (xcpt Latin, perhaps)
