Speech for Comms Log (Mac)

Hi guys - just wondering if anyone has thought of adding speech to the Comms Log as per this discussion?

Why are you bumping this thread, when it was answered in the other thread?
I saw your post there, however, I am not looking for pre-recorded speech samples but rather the Mac's normal speech synthesis used to describe such things as planet names and other non-fixed variables.

As far as I know nothing has been done about it and I am not even sure that it is in the plans for next stable release. Of course, if you would like to help, feel free to send a patch in and we will see if it can be integrated in the trunk code. You can send to another_commander at oolite dot org and I will see to getting it through the right channels for testing and approval.
