Advanced Space Compass

To have this lovely bit of kit help to locate such things as the Seedy Space Bars and the Hoopy Casinos, we are guided to set the compass to 'b' or 'c'.

What does this mean, how do we do it....please help. I cannot find any of these stations having installed them. How do i set the compass to 'b' or 'c'.

Depends on what you have it set to in your keyboard config file "keyconfig.plist". Look for the entry that starts "key_next_compass_mode".

On mine I have it set to the backslash \ key.

Further clarification: once you've bought the advanced compass, press '\' repeatedly until the compass shows the letter you're looking for!

"\" cycles through all the stations that will show up on a Advanced Space Compass.
The PDF gives you a rough list of some, ones added by OXPs are extra.
If something doesn't appear when you are cycling through, it's not in that system (not all systems has seedy space bars etc)
Upon entering a system, I usually cycle all the way through the compass to see what's out there.
Full Circle=Planet
Circle with edge color=Sun
Square= Main space station
W=Witchpoint Beacon
N= Navigational Beacon (near main space station)

Extras (not complete, depends on which OXPs you have)
C= ConStore or Casino
B= Black Monk Bank
Z= Free Trade Zone
A= Astrogulag
F= Fuel Station
