Surround Sound

Post by bakechad »

I am remodeling my computer room at home and will be adding 5.1 sound on my Linux box.

Will I be able to hear a difference in Oolite between 2.0 and 5.1 sound?

Thanks

Chad

Dolby Pro Logic

Post by mcarans »

Hi,

1. Is it still the case that multichannel sound is not supported ie. is stereo sound all that is available?

2. Does the stereo sound output use Dolby Pro Logic encoding and if it does, will I get the sound of ships behind me or just music out of all speakers?

Cheers,
Mike
