UK BBC4 viewers: TV show with a bit about Elite in

Post by Griff »

Apparently 'Games Britannia' on BBC4 tonight @ 9.00pm will have a bit about Elite in it, i don't know for sure, i can't get digital TV and haven't seen any of this series, but there's a bit of chat over on the rullmukforum forum about it

Griff, have you checked out the BBC iplayer? You'll get BBC 4 on there after the program has 'aired'.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

oo, i hadn't thought about that - it looks like they keep the programmes available for a while too - i'm on holiday now for the next 2 weeks with only dial-up internet access so hopefully i can watch it when i get back to work on their fast internet link during my lunch hour!

I definitely wouldn't want to try the dialup / iplayer combination... :)

They've got episodes 1 and 2 up atm, so it looks fairly likely you should be able to see episode 3 (presumably what they're going to broadcast this evening) in 2 week's time! :)

D'oh, only just got in from driving half way down the country in the snow - 4x4 drivers really make me cross - while the rest of us are creeping along at 25-40mph because that's what speed it is sensible to drive at in our normal cars - but there they are - doing 60-70mph weaving between us mere mortals - making us dab our brakes and skid - bastards.

Anyway, as we're now snowed in (we live on a rather steep hill which hasn't been gritted and the Policve have decided not to let people on or off the hill until it is) so I'll have plenty of time to catch up on the iPlayer.

According to the iPlayer there are two episodes from tonight - (or yesterday given its now 2am) - 2. Monopolies and mergers and 3. Joystick generation.

Plan to watch both but to find Elite ref - does anybody know which episode and when (in time through episode)?

TIA

DH

And they weren't exactly subtle about it either! :D

On a non-Elite note, I was well pleased to see a err... throne from Eugene's Lair inside the programme too!

Yes they were playing E:TNK!! I wondered about that, maybe Frontier Developments wasn't consulted?!

Although I must confess I still have E:TNK myself! :)

And later on in the show, Grand Theft Auto was compared to Elite also!
