the cloaking device

in earlier versions the status indicator changed color when the cloaking device was on. what happened to that? in the last version i checked out and built successfully (revision 2700something)that functionality had been removed. why?

Not removed, it's optional. You need to set the super-secret hidden setting again to get the cloaking device light change. When you compile from trunk, you get a different Oolite, one you need to customise all over again...

The default for this feature is off. You need to activate it yourself by editing hud.plist and making sure that there is a line in there that reads:

cloak_indicator_on_status_light = yes;

Honestly, no particular reason. Might as well become the default in the near future.

By popular demand, this is now defaulted to ON for 1.74.
