A while ago I mentioned (in another thread) that I couldn’t eject cargo, but the problem disappeared. Now I think I know why it occurred… the scoop was jammed.
I’ve just had it happen again. Went out in my standard Cobra Mk III, 34 of 35 loaded (Computers). Got jumped, took out the bandit and flew through the debris cloud, knowing I’d get just 1 pod, which turned out to be Firearms.
Being “honest”, I tried to eject said pod. No go. Tried again, still no go. So I checked my manifest with the following results:

I'd got 37t on board, which I happily sold.
Nothing unusual in Latest.log or save file.


edit: 1.73.3 on PC XP Pro.

Ah, you've had the new experimental witchspace folding cargo compression facility installed then... :roll: :wink:

THis used to happen if you picked up multiple cargo pods simultaneously - but I thought that'd been squashed...

Should be fixed in SVN2547. Sorry, no more quantum cargo bays.

I was running into the same problem - playing the current version. mk 3 standard ship. picked up narkotics could not get rid of them (dumping) - or any other cargo hold.

picking up other stuff - no problem.

weird.... it just did do anything when I tried to dump. when I was going with witchdrive - "it said too fast for dump". I could cycle through but no dumping.

'Too fast for dump' is working as expected. The rationale behind it is that you would risk damaging the ship & the dumping mechanism if you try to eject at speed.

However, if you slow down & you still can't eject cargo with 1.73.4, then it means that this bug managed to survive somehow...

right - I was able to run into it again.
saving - closing the game - reopening - loading the last version did help - then I was able to eject.

in the begining I though it might have something to do with the function of taking on space capsules. Those you can not eject as well. but then I remembered I sold everything bought only 1ton food launched - and could not get rid of it so - no these capsules are not the reason.


btw: it would be nice if you would see the guys captured next to the loading of your ship. I will post that in the sugggestion forum.
