Griff you are the man, I thank you sir.
I probably could have held out until the good Captain's Respray OXP but it's still cool to know these things.

edit: Hm... now I see it in a screenshot, she looks a little bit Commie lol.
So then I says to him, I says "naw dude, Oolite ain't no Space Opera... Oolite is Space Rock and Roll!"

Looking good, SBP... have a custom external view from my Cobra III that should work fine in yours. Just slot this code snippet into the Custom Views section of the shipdata.plist, being careful with the brackets etc.

Code: Select all

{
				view_description = "Cinematic View";
				view_orientation = "0.1 0.35 1.0 0.05";
				view_position = "20.0 -10.0 350.0";
				weapon_facing = "FORWARD";
			}
The 350.0 is the distance from your ship... play around with that.

Of course, if you upgraded to the Griff multi-decal player Cobra III, you could have a cool belly-decal of your choice (four decals in total) - like this:

I finally did about 20 minutes ago.
Because man am I ever sick of seeing my Cobra selling in the yard, shooting at me, buzzing around... every cobby 3 was my cobby 3.

I probably could have duplicated my normal griff cobra 3, stuck it in a folder, fenced it off as it's own OXP etc.

But no need when Griff has kindly done it already, with a neutral paintjob ready to be customized and 3 extra decals to boot. :D

I then changed the savefile ship_desc to the multi cobby.

I haven't had a chance to fully fly around and scrutinize other cobra 3s but it looks fine and the spinning cobra at the title screen is different from my save game cobra, so I'm hoping that it means my ship will now be properly unique.
So then I says to him, I says "naw dude, Oolite ain't no Space Opera... Oolite is Space Rock and Roll!"

Beautiful!
Will it be included with the dodo in the all-in-one package?

Good - did you go for the shiny model, or the scuffed model?

Shiny, after flying around scuffed for a while, I like my ship to have a bit of bling to it.
It would be cool if you could somehow have both... like if the ship is in need of a maintenance overhaul, the texture switches to scuffed.

And huzzah for new Ico station, woot!
I've been using Z GrOovy system stations as a stand in, but now I get to have all the Griff variations at last.
It looks great.

Oh question edit!
If I install P.A Groove stations I will still see the core Griff shipset stations (including the new Ico installed as a separate oxp) right? I don't remember reading anywhere that they were complimentary for sure, but I seem to have this feeling they are?

On the subject of Icos, where/how can I find which systems Oolite gives an Ico station to?
I want to ensure sure that my (already stripped-down) [wiki]Torus_station[/wiki] OXP isn't overriding them.

To say it with only one word: Marvelous.

Thank you for this station, Griff. :D
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

1 in 4 systems with a TL of 12 or higher, based on the system seed. If you put the following formula into cell AO5 of the galaxy spreadsheet and copy it down, you should be able to find them quickly enough.

Code: Select all

=IF(AG5>=12,IF(BITAND(E5,768)=0,"ico","dodec"),"coriolis")
