Atmospheric flashes
Just as I am approaching the planet, at about the time the space station becomes visible, I usually see a few bright flashes against the planet. What's going on there?

NPCs have their own AIs and so get on with stuff even if the player isn't there to see it. Could be pirates raiding traders by the station, some miners blasting asteroids to bits and scooping the chunks of minerals, a space bar dukeing it out with pirates, a Navy Feet in battle with a Thargoid raiding party or just some hapless young Jameson on his first trip from Lave under assualt. There's a lot going on in the big black. Only way to know for sure is to hit the injectors and join the party!
