I noticed a bug with the thargoids
As soon the robots launch from the mother ships, they become inactive (white on the radar) even if the mother ship keeps alive. This makes the thargoids not challenging at all.

First: Which version of Oolite do you use?
Second: If you have SecondWave.oxp installed, this is a feature of some of the Thargons (that's what they called).

If they appear "damaged" (cracked and mottled) then they're the damaged Thargons from Second Wave that McLane is mentioning.
