LOCALHERO V1.05 possible problem

Hi,
I have been playing LOCALHERO V1.05 oxp in oolite version 1.72 for a while now and although I often get the initial message upon docking a station with the instruction to go to f7 screen and wait for more info I have never had anything happen when I get to the f7 screen - sometimes I have waited for as long as it takes to go and make a coffee - just in case of a timer thingy or lack of patience on my part.
Also, I tried to configure it with OXPConfig v1.06 and OXPConfig claims that possibly that version of localhero is not compatible.
I have had this same issue with every commander I have tried, including a number of commanders from harmless to dangerous in galaxies 1 and 2, I also tried it with and without a few other f7 screen changing oxp's such as famous planets in case there was a clash.
I have tried it with and without OXPConfig installed.
So there ya go.
I have searched the wiki and BB and found no hint that anyone else is having this issue, so I post it here.
Any ideas?
E.
