shooting my own ship

Post by elmex »

I don't know whether this was already reported, I skimmed through the reports here and found nothing:

(FYI: I'm running the svn checkout of 1.71-maintenance (r1625) on
my AMD64 (debian linux) without any OXPs)

I just bought a new ship, a Boa 2 Class Cruiser, I started in the direction
of the witchpoint bouy and shot at some vessels, there was a formation I
think of 2 small and one Boa Class Cruiser. I took out the 2 smaller ones,
but when I tried identifying the Boa Class Cruiser it just told me that it
is a 'Boa Class Cruiser' without drawing the green rectangle with the distance/legal status. And when I shot it into the aft, _MY_ shields were actually damaged.

Anyone else experienced something like this?

Had that happen to me. Can't remember what version I was running when this was happening maybe 1.65.
Happened in 2 systems, shooting at a cobra and could not figure out why my shields were going down, meant to report it but forgot.
Hasn't happened again since I've been running 1.71.2 test.

Sounds strange (and actually funny: kicking your own ass! :D ).

Never had that, though. Haven't even heard of it. So I'm afraid I can't be of much help here.
