Hi, pkin, and first of all welcome to the boards, and of course to this great game! :D

You are of course free to update the scripting methods in your personal copy and use it this way. I have done the same in my own personal copy. Note, however, that there is no error whatsoever in the OXP. The log entries are mere deprecation warnings, which is a completely different thing to an error.

I would advise you to be a little less bold in your assumptions about the absence or presence of board members, though. Specifically, what gives you the idea that Frame is not around anymore? He made his last post on October 14, which is merely four weeks in the past at the time I am writing this. For all we know Frame may just be on vacation. And it took me only two mouseclicks to find that out. The first one on the "Profile" button in Frame's last post here above, and the second one on the "Find all posts by Frame" link in his profile. You could have done this little fact-checking as well before making your questionable claim.

All of this means that, while you may adjust your local copy of the OXP, you are not automatically entitled to publish it, or in any way take over the OXP. Just be a little cautious here, please.

Hi pkin, and welcome to the boards, reputed to be the friendliest this side of Riedquat!

In any case, it won't hurt to send your updated version of the oxp to Frame for him to have a look at! ;)
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

Is Frame around? Was a new version of Fuel Collector published?
The 0.06 version gives deprecation errors in latest trunk and does not seem to work. Luckily, it works in 1.74.2.

This OXP seems more like a:
"OXPs with Problems
The following table contains OXPs that have problems eg. broken download, or have been written for versions of Oolite earlier than the current 1.75.2"

I don't know if anyone is even working on it anymore.

2nd HDD crash in a row, I gave McClane permission to release a fixed version as i'm rather busy with RL things and Computer Hobby stuff is at the bottom list of priorities.. And seems my memory was that the fuel collector was ok with 1.75.1.. guees i misunderstood something

And for more priority stuff im trying to get this Polaris Destroyer Ship done and released before all electric hell comes down on me again.. Textures Done.. now all the boring config stuff ensues...

It involves some heavy custom turreting..

here is a render from my 3d editor of choice...

enjoy...

Yes there will be nameplates with names from the famous systems.
Cheers Frame....

Cool! 8) Those look like the ships from Babylon 5. Rotating sections and all.
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Looks a lot like an Omega class destroyer to me.

Are you going to include Agamemnon, Alexander and Apollo among your nameplates?

If those are planet names in Oolite the answer may be yes.

T'would be the decent thing to do, IMHO, and a nice low-key tribute to a great SF series into the bargain.

Looks bloody great, too.

I might even replace my Caddy Omega with one. :D
