Crash while OXPing

Post by Frame »

PC, Vista Ultimate..
ATI HD 2600 XT

i was writing the fuel collector, doing lots of startups

now it seems oolite 1.71.2 has crashed internally..

the error i´m getting is

2008-07-03 21:35:14.263 oolite.exe[2840] [startup.exception]: ***** Unhandled exception during startup: NSRangeException (in getBytes:range:, range { 970755, 6649445 } extends beyond size (981474)).

i tried a reboot, a cold restart, removed all OXPs

And before i´m proceeding to uninstalling drivers for my GFX card(cause of the error code seems to be the same as with detecting the extentions)

Im going to uninstall then reinstall oolite. since my ohter installation of oolite 1.7.1, its just a tiny peck in my treated as if royal "hintern"

Seems though as a crash, can corrupt oolite.. internally

I can't possibly imagine graphics drivers having anything at all to do with it. Try a clean reinstall to a different folder, to me it looks that something outside Oolite (btw, how did exactly the first crash happen?) has corrupted the gnustep-base.dll. I am suspecting also cache issues, but I am not too sure of that, because you removed OXPs, so cache should be cleared.
