maintenance issues

Greetings, fellow commanders!

I have a question about upholding general maintenance of my trusty Cobbie mk3.
I can't seem to find the option anywhere, and my Cobbie is starting to show the wear and tear...

I play 1.65 with the Lave and Diso oxp and FighterHud oxp.

The maintenance overhaul option will appear in the equip ship screen (F3) when the right time comes. When it appears, it is advisable to spend the cash and do it, or witchdrive failures may become very likely.

Until you see this option though, there is not much else you can do.

A piece of damp cloth and a small dribble of ceramic cleaner will work miracles. Also, Cpt Hesperus seems to have a special biological cleaning agent on offer... some sort of animal that looks rather moppy and spongy anyway- supposed to be extremely effective!

And what's more, feed it and you'll have soon have enough to clean the entire exterior and interior of your ship! Just Cr30 for you, get them while GalCop's not caught up with me yet....

to Cmmdr Hesperus:

My experience with Trumbles might come as a blow to you.
I have come to acknowledge a few serious facts about the little critters.
Mainly these:

1. Trumbles should never have been recognized as an intelligent life-form.
2. Trumbles are in their very nature, destructive.
3. Trumbles procreate in a manner that is destructive to anything High-Tech.
4. Trumbles aboard a spaceship are lethal to all other life-forms aboard the same ship.
5. Trumbles should be exterminated throughout all 8 known Galaxies.
6. (this is under discussion) You, and your love of Trumbles should be outlawed.
7. I'm too old for this game, lost too many ships to the furry little fuzzies.

W... W... WHAAAAAAAATTTTTT?!? I regret turning down that offer, so many years ago, and I'm older but a year, but the next offer I get, the caption will get 30 CR richer. Gal cop will neber get him as long as I'm on his tail, I will clear the 8 galaxies of cops just to keep him alive, to bring trumbles to all!

As to observation one, two, three, and four, This can also apply to new Commanders, so these points are invalid. As for observation five, it's a nice goal, but sadly impossible while Arexack_Heretic maintains his Trumble Sanctuary. Observation 6, my legal team, headed up by a small ursoid, inform me that while there is nothing but unsubstatiated circumstantial evidence to link me to any crimes that debate will remain on hold. Also, continuing along those lines without evidence will result in prosecution for slander. And as for seven, I happen to know a really good used-ship dealer on Orerve who guarantees his ship up to 20 million klicks. Alternately, there is a reptilian bounty hunter who'd take the whole crop off your hands, as long as you tossing a vat of barbeque sauce.
