No planet in system, and graphical glitch

Post by Ace Garp »

Hi. Hope this report helps someone.

I had just left Isinor station (Galaxy 1), and turned around to face it during a dogfight.
I could not see the station, but instead had a large blue 'laser effect' pointing at (and around) me from it.
This seemed to have no effect on my ship.
(I didn't take a screen shot as I'd fogotten the required keys.)

After winning the dogfight, I hyperspaced to Qutiri only to find no sun, planet or station there.

There was the usual green blob on the radar, but I couldn't seem to get close enough to see the planet itself.
Even after leaving the Jump-Drive on for at least five minutes.
The system seemed completely devoid of anything except a background of stars and some space-dust.

Eventually I quit the game, to find that my desktop was very unresponsive, and now black; and only started to reappear as I 'drew' on it with the mouse.
Eventually things returned to normal, so I reopened my Isinor save, left the station and Hyperspaced to Qutiri - but all was now normal.

Very strange indeed!

System Specs -
Ooolite 1.70,
PowerBook 1.5 Ghz,
1 GB RAM,
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Card with 128 MB VRAM,
Max OS X 10.4.11.

If anyone wants a list of my active OXPs, or anything else, just let me know.

Hm. This sounds like just one of the weird, inexplicable things that happen every once in a while.

Hope it doesn't happen again!
