Thargoid Laser

Hi Everyone,

I recently got to Galaxy 7 and landed at a Tech 15 planet. They were selling a Thargoid Laser which I'd not seen before. Unfortunately after buying it, when pressing F5 to get to the Status screen, nothing would happen. I had saved my game before buying the laser so I havent lost anything but just wondered if anyone else had had this happen to them?

Is the laser something fantastic that i'm missing out on?

I'm using v1.65.

I have at various times ended up with a thargoid laser. It does not work properly.

I *think* its made available by one of Charlies OXPs, which I guess we could call a mistake, it isnt ready for use, and may never be. Having looked at the code, it isnt clear if the thargoid laser is meant to be available, but at this time, it should not be, as its broken.

No, it is not meant to be available. And on top of that, it's useless for the player. Just stay away from it.
