I used to play Elite in the far distant 1985, on my good old C64.
Then I changed to PCs, grew up, and Elite became just a memory.

Well, two days ago, during a boring afternoon at my office, with all my job done for the day, I started to surf the web, randomly.

And I stumbled on a Elite emulator page. Something screamed in my mind: ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of a sudden I remembered that fantastic game. Ohhh I almost forgot about it. I googled a little, looking for infos about Elite, emulators, new version.... and I found this Forum!

I red eagerly a few post, then I found a link to the PC version of OOlite.
I downloaded it, installed... and now I can't stop myself from playing!!!!
Even at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Thanks a lot to all the developer of this fantastic project.
I am a boy once again. And I can, once again, travel in space!!!!
:D

Thanks!!!

Welcome to the Friendliest Board This Side of Riedquat!!!

The people around you might not be so elated at your recent bout of this old addiction, though!

"Is the report rea...What's that?!"
"Dear, let go of ...that!... and come to bed already, it's past two in the morning!"
"Daddy, I've finished the homework, and my room, and the dishes. Will you pleeese let me play now?..."

Not quite like the old times, eh?
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

Well, "good old times" weren't always as good as we remember.
