of course it may be the royal "we" and has probably been reported but I thought I'd mention it.

If you’re referring to “<name> thanks you, and pays you <sum> Cr for delivering them to <planet>.”, that’s perfectly good English, a usage that has existed as long as the English language (and in fact longer), and I’ll have no part in rewriting it to suit idiotic misinformed prescriptivist rules that have no basis in actual usage.

Seriously, I'm impressed and grateful for this tidbit. Up to now I always grinned and thought that the plural form pronoun was there either in the interest of reducing memory consumption or of reducing the amount of typing - which, however I am sure is the case with many programs!
