Dire FFE Intercom videos

Post by Captain Hesperus »

I'd heard rumours about actors in the 'live action' intercom messages in Frontier: First Encounters being at best 'wooden' and at worst, downright awful and I wondered if there was any truth to the rumours. Well, after a lengthy, well quite lengthy, well okay a couple of minutes, search on YouTube I unearthed these:

Part 1
Part 2

Barf buckets at the ready....

Nice find!

I watched the first one, but I need to take a break. My intelligence circuits appear to have melted.
OXPS : The Assassins Guild, Asteroid Storm, The Bank of the Black Monks, Random Hits, The Galactic Almanac, Renegade Pirates can be downloaded from the Elite Wiki here.

....but this is from a navigator who took three hours to find his way from his quarters on 'B' deck to the bridge on 'A' deck.

I remember the gaming press was very excited at the time as it was pretty much the first game to have any FMV (Full Motion Video - hmmm... can you get part motion video then??)

I remember being distinctly underwhelmed...

To be honest, I think the denizens of this board could do better than that.
