Law and Disorder

Post by davcefai »

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Oolite or due to an OXP.

Occasionally, either at startup or when I hyperspace into a system, the game slows right down, memory usage expands to the full 1GB my PC has and it also uses 1GB of swap.

The screen is literally filled with wall-to-wall Galcops!

Shift-F shows that there are over 500 objects and the frame rate is down to 5-7fps.

Has anybody else observed this?

I am running build 1155 on Debian Linux. (I cannot try any higher builds. They crash on startup).

No, they do not crash. They exit cleanly for reasons described here.

Quite right. I reported this as a bug and you, I think (from the sig) pointed me to that topic. However I read the email after I wrote the above post.

Query: Is there a work around?
