Shrapnel

Probbly been asked before, but i'd like this shrapnel business to be a bit more sensible. got around to loading up the Thargoid OXPs last night, and although the carrier's excellent it suffers the same prob as the Rock Hermits - when it's Tw@ed the scanned just gets obliterated w/ white stalks.

Think 1.69 has a "cap" on the ammount of debries generated. It the number of bits is in proportion to the size of the model (which can be a problem for a really big model like the Carrier). Think A has put a top limit on this though for the new version of Oolite.

Yes, he has limited it since 1.68 (I think, look at release notes in the threads), and I don't get any crashes after blowing up two thargoid carriers any more.

It would be good to have it so the scanner cannot lock on to "Wreckage". Too many times I get messages obliterated because the scanner sends a message that it has locked on to wreckage which then detonates and sends another message saying Target Lost.

i mentioned that i'd love a toggleable scanner filter a few months back, don't know if anyone managed to work it into an OXP tho.

i'd vote for the scanning filter. ^^
