startup showcase non-functional?
is the game supposed to show the various ships right after startup? or is that only if you press 'n' at the load commander question?

Yeah, select N for load commander and you get a showcase of all the installed ships originals first, then OXPs (usually) in alphabetical order.nijineko wrote:is the game supposed to show the various ships right after startup? or is that only if you press 'n' at the load commander question?

usually. the dredger trader and the fury either are not showing up, or there is no lighting when they show up, as the timing is exactly the same.
and i just got a com message?!?! something about someone getting fired upon and a tie fighter in the cop mode warning the offender.... (let me clarify-this message was recieved while i was watching the slideshow of ship/objects!)
now two com messages, but i wasn't fast enough with the screenshot to catch it for you. maybe next time. ^^

Hmm. The game simulation runs during the demo screen, but com messages should be suppressed.
