Ditching Cargo

I make a lot of my money by scooping cargo and asteroid debris. Despite my pythons cargo capacity of 115 I often end up with a full bay long before reaching the station and consequently have to let loads of lovely cargo pass me by. Is there any way to selectively dump the low value cargos like food or minerals in order to make more room? Dumping cargo just seems to eject the last thing you picked up regardless of whether its food or some precious luxuries.

I had the same doubt, and was told that you can cycle through your inventory with Shift-r.
Check

Maegil is quite right. It also appears in the
Pilot's Reference Manual supplied with your first Cobra Mark III.

I am always glad to help someone increase their profit margins.
Now, I've sent you my bill for the advice. Please pay promptly or I shall be forced to dispatch a group of Large Fierce Lobstoid bailiffs to
break your knee-caps encourage you to pay your dues.

@CH: Are you sure about trying to
extort charge over
my advice?
@BoT: I wouldn't send anyone, so don't have to worry about any crustacean bailiffs. I rather do that kind of thing myself
, and I don't accept excuses.
On the other
hand, I should
point out that do accept
fingers. Pun fully intended. Pay, or else!

@ BoT: Just ignore the funny guys above.
You also could install the
ETT Homing Beacon, mark the debris field with a beacon, sell your cargohold full of stuff and come back later to collect the rest of the loot.

HA! This Beacon is great. I used to eject food after a while and made shooting excercises with them to improve my aftport skills.

@ julyy: You could of course do these exercises a lot cheaper with asteroids and boulders. Just a proposal...

Just a quick question...I can't test it right now.
When you
capture rescue a
running lifepod, then eject it,
does it continue to run or does it behave like a inert lifepod?
To advance to the next level of practice, use pods as targets.

Neither. When you catch a pod, it becomes a ton of slaves in your manifest. If you eject them, you lose whatever bounty/prize you'd get when you arrive at a station - even if you get it back.
